MEET MICHELLE

I was taught at a young age that the key to success is not only hard work and perseverance; but, to find something I am passionate about and enjoy doing. It didn’t take long to realize what that would mean for me. Now with over 16 years’ experience in my field, I still continue to strive for success every day. After earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Professional Accountancy from the University of West Florida, I continued my studies at Bellarmine University where I earned a Master of Science in Taxation. In addition to my education, I worked for both public and corporate accounting firms where I assumed roles as a tax accountant and accounting manager prior to creating Riggs Tax & Accounting Services, LLC.

When not working with clients, I am regularly active in community outreach and fundraising programs for Louisville through the Younger Women’s Club of Louisville and other charitable organizations. This community is very important to me and I enjoy giving back.

Along with my talented wife Michelle, I have been blessed with the opportunity to help create this amazing business. As a Louisville native, we wanted to create a different kind of tax and accounting firm to benefit those in our community. A small yet powerful boutique practice that highlights both technical expertise and exceptional personalized service. After graduating from the University of Kentucky, I spent many years in both sale and operations leadership rolls, where I learned the importance of providing clients with a unique experience they were unable to find anywhere else. At Riggs Tax & Accounting Services, LLC, we don’t just crunch numbers, we build long lasting relationships.

In my free time, I enjoy a number of activities such as traveling, fishing, running, and high intensity interval training. I also enjoy working on charitable events that benefit our community.
